Charleston Classic
That has to be the biggest win against Davidson ever or at least in the modern era.
They still do all those Davidson staples. The sprint down the court on the make, that iso play to a skilled big.
Looking at their sched i felt we would be able to win it give their results so far
I wonder if they will be able to handle of the physicality of the A10 with that roster.
Colorado St looks fierce given they blew USC out the water. We will see.

Yep,
Deeeee light ful.
We did beat them by 18 at Lake Lure with Andrew Lawrence and Willis Hall.
Don’t forget the push-in-the-back rebounding staple of theirs.

Hahaha, considering they won't play us; biggest in the modern era is a low bar to exceed.
Had there been more games there would have been more losses, but Davidson couldn't risk that.

Said it in the game chat and I will say it here, Matty McKillop was a whiny little bitch as a player and he’s a whiny little bitch as a coach. His daddy earned the right to bitch at officials thru his years coaching and building a reputation, I get the sense Matty believes just because he inherited the position, he should be afforded the same deference by officials as Daddy received.

Student section was very much into it tonight. Being in there it is amazing how things have changed since Grant’s last season. Completely different vibe in there.
All the teams we can play in the tourney left are well above us. Colorado State 73 in KenPom, Virginia Tech 27 and Penn State 35.

Re: Charleston Classic
Most important point for me is that we dominated, except for another head scratchingly bad 3-5 minute stretch, with Reyne being a total non-factor.

It's great to see the non-reyne shooters break out a bit in this tournament. We needed that if we were going to compete at a higher level.
Bolon clearly doesn't have his full fitness. His legs were toast today. Hopefully by seasons he will be ready. I'll be interested to see how functional he is tomorrow.
Baba's growth is the biggest surprise so far. He is quickly becoming our best big.
Rae hasn't quite hit the level of confidence offensively he was feeling late last season, but i am glad he got those threes to go down to tonight. It'll get better.

Robinson, Scott, Larson- 3 great gets.
Rae, Baba- greatly improving.
That sequence at end of first half. Yuk. Why not try to get 2for1?
When was last time we rebounded like that!?

#23 RPI this morning. VAT should be favored, but so was CSU. Look to see as we get closer where the money goes. The line will get smaller as the bets go on CofC.

Re: Charleston Classic
I think biggest win against them would be our first season in the SoCon. We were down 16 at Belk with not long to play and ended up winning. Helped preserve the sweep that season. Point differential wise, this is probably our most lopsided win.

Most enjoyable win was Curry's last second shot being blocked

A fantastic three game sprint by the Cougars. This championship will help propel this program on so many levels.
As an aside, Davidson fans have to be the most obnoxious in the country. They act like they are the blue bloods of college basketball (not even close) and spend every game complaining about literally everything. Sitting behind a group of them as our walk-ons scored 5 points was priceless.

Special team.
Nothing about that game was trending in a good direction. VA Tech survived our punch and got into their offense. We were surviving on shot making but not getting too many of those extra energy possessions that we typically need overcome inevitable lulls.
Second half we were allowing stupid offensive efficiency by VA Tech.
Got a little lucky with calls. Home field factor.
Speaks to the mental toughness of the guys. The ability to deploy different tools at different times.
The depth is such a critical asset. It's gonna be so big come CAA tournament time. Having Pat Rob sitting there with only 20 minutes per game. Also saw us slide a big lineup with Ante and Baba Manning the front court.
Stuff to clean up....
The moving screens.
In games where we are more comfortably ahead would love an effort to get Lampten more offensive touches. Raekwon and Benny too.
