Any worries with the Xavier and South Carolina jobs opening? Have to imagine PK has been on both school’s radar. I may be a sucker, but I believe Kelsey when he says he loves it here and wants to build something special. I don’t think he’ll leave after one year but with the Xavier coaching vacancy, you already are seeing the speculation.

From what I’ve been reading among Xavier boards, anyone not named Sean Miller would be a major disappointment. Chris Mack hasn’t even been mentioned.

Dave Davis was a head coach at Newberry and Pfeiffer for 23 years total before he went to Winthrop. Ran same offense as Kelsey

We probably go after someobe more high profile.

I'm not gonna worry about it until it happens.
On the bright side we will get some positive momentum as a place that is a launching pad for ambitious coaches.

Sapakoff really called CofC out today. Changing conferences compared to the Davidson move, and former players sparkling with other teams. I just don't see Kelsey being hired at Xavier. If he is, it will be another decision making process for CofC. They have a difficult time in that respect it appears.

We 100% want Pat Kelsey to stay as the College of Charleston Coach. He can build a decade long dynasty in the CAA and his family will have happy memories of "their home" in the low country. People are not moving here everyday because it is terrible place to live.

I don't think South Carolina is a serious threat. I think they want a higher profile candidate.

When they hired Frank Martin i was definitely scared, but Paris?
Solid coach no doubt. Did what he was supposed to at UTC , but the SOCON has bled out a lot of good coaches. It isn't the conference it was a couple years ago.

Surprised Furman's coach not gone. He has averaged 22 wins a season since taking that job.

Hire West Liberty's coach if Kelsey leaves. He's 128-21 in five seasons, 5 straight regular season conference championships, 2 conference tourney championships, 1 sweet 16 and 1 Elite 8. Recruiting is obviously a strength
