CAA time. Let’s hear everyone’s conference record predictions. I’ll start it off:
I think we go 11-7 in CAA play. Looks like a decent conference this year. It’ll be tough to win on the road as always. I think we have a very good home record but struggle to beat JMU, Towson, Hofstra, and Delaware on road. Seems like we always slip up on the road against a team we expect to beat as well.

Hope 11-7 is the floor. The potential to be very good is evident. I can see being in top 3 but need to be much more consistently good game to game to reach that.

I think at home we are going to be really tough to beat(assuming no more squad attrition to the end of the season). Probably 1-2 losses tops. Hofstra would be the primary candidate. On the road its gonna be much dicier. Agree that 11 wins is probaby gonna be the floor

Re: Time for CAA Play
The conference is better than most thought going into the season so I think 11-7 is a good number. It almost pains me to say it but this Towson team is probably skerry’s best. They actually have players with real basketball skill. JMU also much better than I expected.
I still have some concerns with this team, but hopefully getting Meeks back in the line up will correct some of our issues. There are 25 minutes spurts where this team looks like it should contend for a championship (UTC, UNC, Loyola, 2nd Tulane) and others where they look like they could be beaten by any team not named William and Mary (Stetson, OK st, end of Tulane 1). We shall find out just how good this team is.

Re: Time for CAA Play
I'll second what CougieMonster said. I'm not quite as bullish but only because the CAA as a whole is really solid this season (currently 14 on KenPom, highest since 2016-2017). Towson, Hofstra, and JMU are all overachieving, Delaware/Drexel/NU are solid as expected, and Elon/UNCW may be trending closer to pesky high-variance teams as opposed to a dumpster fire like William & Mary.
If the team stays healthy, I'm hoping for 10 wins in conference. The freshmen will get better with time, and I think if Bolon can come back in mid February that gives us a nice boost.

I know it's obvious, but so much depends on our shooting and turnovers, somewhat on fouls. Looks like we can rebound and play defense consistently. Sure hope end of Furman game was a coachable, teachable, rememberable moment.

Just like everyone thought. Elon made NU look like a JV team and William and Mary actually beat a good D1 team. We all had that in our hypothetical betting pool right?

Re: Time for CAA Play
Question. JMU not allowed to play in CAA tourney. Will their games count towards seedings for tourney? Also with them not playing will only bottom 2 teams have play in games¿
