CAA Tournament
Good to get a win today against Towson, even if it was by a walk-off HBP.
Gonna be a tougher task tomorrow against either Northeastern or UNCW.

Re: CAA Tournament
Gonna be a really big challenge to beat this pitcher today. We have the 3pm game today and if we lose, double headers will start for us tomorrow until we lose the 2nd game. Once we hit that losers bracket game, it’ll be a quick exit after. We don’t have the pitching to keep up.

6-0 after one inning. An 11am start tomorrow is extremely likely against W&M

10-3 final. It’ll be shocking if we make it through tomorrow but it is doable.

I can’t believe it. Won the doubleheader. This train is rolling up to Wilmington in the morning.

Where has the pitching we saw today been hiding all year?GoCougsGo wrote:I can’t believe it. Won the doubleheader. This train is rolling up to Wilmington in the morning.

Re: CAA Tournament
Why do you take a pitcher out with less than 70 pitches through 5 and put in a pitcher with over an 8 era
to start the 6th? ;

Re: CAA Tournament
We wondering why as well. Everyone in the stands seemed to have been monitoring pitch count at this stage. And of course, we had no choice but to go to Carr who gave up 3 runs on two errors.
It was a pretty good run but the best two are in the final as it should be.
That NE homer to dead center got so high up in a 15 MPH blowing in and it damn near cleared the batters eye in dead center. Hawkins almost had a play on it.
Chad avoids a losing season leaving Matt Heath the only one to do it this century. He is very honest these days with how the pitching never developed and he has some decisions to make this off season. These kids fought hard this tournament. Fight we haven’t seen all season but we expect to see year in and out. Hope we come back next year bats a blazin’. We do have some significant bats leaving though.

Re: CAA Tournament
NE wins two to take the CAA title. It would not shock me to see them make a run in the NCAA’s. The resemblance to our 2014 super regional team is very similar. UNCW RPI dropped to 65 which has them on the outside looking in. The only saving grace they have is a 6-10 record in Q1 wins. That’s pretty good for at large consideration at the mid major level
