Bailey Ober at Minnesota
Hopefully he and new manager Rocco Baldelli will have a good spring training.

Bailey is off to a great start in Advanced A ball with Fort Myers Miracles. He has made 4 starts going 6 innings in each start with a 2-0 record, 0.00 ERA, 3 walks and 26 strikeouts. I hope he keeps up the great work and moves to AA ball.

Ober places on disabled list Apr. 29th. Something to do with an ultra nerve.

In today's P&C transactions Twins selected his contact for 40-man roster.

Don’t count on the BE kid. Likely to be a high draft pick out of high schoolhungry wrote:We have another 6'8" pitcher coming in. From BE?

4 near-perfect innings. 6 k's, 0 walks, 0 runs, 1 hit that was erased by strike 'em out, throw 'em out double play. Must be on short pitch count not to stay in for the win. Twins won 7-2, stopping losing streak.

Re: Bailey Ober at Minnesota
Looks like he's in rotation for now. Only down side is the occasional home run he gives up, like the 2-run shot last night. He left with a lead but the bullpen gave it up, so no decision.
BTW- some commentators think the rubber may be moved back from the historical 60'6" because of more 6'7", 6'9" etc pitchers that have a hard to see release. Boo! from this traditionalist.

Ober got his first MLB hit in his first MLB at-bat tonight in St. Louis. He didn’t get the win though because he didn’t complete 5 innings.

Re: Bailey Ober at Minnesota
5 shut-out innings last night at Fenway, left with 4-0 lead
I don't think he'll get credit for win because Twins had to win it in the 10th after Red Sox tied it in bottom of 9th. I think that leaves 9th inning pitcher with blown save and 10th inning pitcher with win. I could be wrong.
