A little inspiration needed, great team, great band & tribute, even though last years team was better. 8-) Go Cougs!

Cougars score 2 in the 8th (set up by a stolen base) to win 9-8. Dixon throws runner out at home from left field in the 9th. We had 7 2-out RBI's on 8 for 16 hitting with 2 outs. So glad we're not in losers bracket game tonight. Tomorrow is Ober day?

May have been ugly but it was a win. Any win turns ugly into beautiful in tourney play

PS Had to go get another beer before the last inning. Curious what attendance was. Looked like a good crowd to me. Love those armchairs down by left field

I don't know if Bailey would need more than the 1st 2 runs, but now he has 5 to work with. We're starting (without a moment to lose) to do what we've done in the past- "See the ball, hit the ball."

Last run for them scored on an error. Sisk probably our starter tomorrow. He started in our win at uncw

That's who we play tomorrow at noon in winners' bracket, Wilmington
I think W&M play winner of tonight's NE/JMU game? Haven't all 3 lost 1 game?

All of our pitchers except Ober, Bauer, and Helvey are well rested and good to go today. Love only threw a handful of pitches yesterday. Bauer and Helvey only threw about 50 pitches each Wed and both could pitch Sat if we get that far. Will be tough but I like our chances at this point.

The question is how long can Sisk go? UNCW has a lineup like ours last year. They hit extremely well but they strikeout quite a bit. Off speed will have to be on for Sisk today. We can't win a slugfest with UNCW. Just too powerful.

Negligible sound all season from the live feed but I thought they would have it fixed for this tourney. Nope, does production even watch their own product? Beggars can't be listeners I guess.

Sisk pitches outstanding 8 innings only allowing 2 runs. Reliever gives up 4 in 9th aided by pathetic support in the field. Final 6-1 them. Play at 7 tonight against winner of game just started. I can see Disk as a weekend starter next year.

No sound problem up here in Greenville on my computer. Loud and clear the entire game. Wish it would have gone silent in ninth.

A rough last 3 innings tonight. Just ran out of pitching. Ocker gave up 3 runs, then it was 4-3 after that 2 run rally we had. If the ball had gone 3 feet right, the game is completely different. Instead, inning-ending DP, and game turned on that moment.

Tough day to end the year.
