There is a new forum that is private. It is for Cougar fans to discuss subjects that are sensitive. Go to the user control panel link at the top and you will be able to request to be added from there. You will then have to wait for either me or Matrojan to approve you for the group.

Newly registered users won't be allowed unless they registered from a cofc.edu email.

I asked Ego to design this since there are topics that we would prefer the average lurker to not see. Least of trolls.

Also when we transition to the CAAZONE I figure we can keep topics here that are outside the community.

To be added you have to do this:

1) go to user control panel (link at the top of the page)

2) on the left hand side you will see 'usergroups', select that.

3) on that page you will see a group listed as 'cougar fan', select the request to become a. Member.

I think there are a few threads in the basketball forum that need to be moved to a private forum. Just my opinion.

Request sent. I'm hoping you let me in. CofC has always been my second favorite SoCon team. Now they will be my favorite CAA team (I don't follow UofD basketball despite the schools best effort to get me to do so).

Ego and I anticipated and discussed the issue. We felt that DE brings a lot to this board. With the wife connection(cofc alum) it would be reasonable to bring him in.

With the obvious caveat that we hope that sensitive things would obviously stay with us and not migrate directly to davidsoncats.com or elsewhere.

FWIW DE is the only person who I could imagine at this point doing this for.

I was going to say "pledged", but I wasn't sure how many would understand it, so I went with something that is much more universally recognized.

We've been a little lax about this the past week, but sensitive posts about players will get moved to the Cistern.

If we repeatedly need to move your posts, you may find you have a problem. There are two other moderators besides me, and they may temporarily ban you if they get tired of moving your stuff. I'm pretty laid back, but I won't overturn their decisions. That forum was created for a reason, so use it.
