The Softball team continues to be a success, as they are now ranked 35th in RPI.

The College of Charleston softball team has moved up to 35th in the college RPI rankings, as shown on WarrenNolan.com. Last week’s rankings saw the Cougars at 39th of 269 teams in Division I.

The College of Charleston softball team has moved up to 35th in the college RPI rankings, as shown on WarrenNolan.com. Last week’s rankings saw the Cougars at 39th of 269 teams in Division I.

The first NCAA statistics of the season were also released on Wednesday and the Cougars rank among the top-25 in many categories. The Cougars are 18th in the nation in doubles per game (1.53), 21st in scoring per game (5.45), 23rd in home runs per game (0.90) and 27th in win-loss percentage (.745).

The Cougars (38-13 overall, 8-1 SoCon) also lead the Southern Conference in batting average (.279), slugging percentage (.453), on base percentage (.356), runs scored (278), hits (375), RBI (247), doubles (78), home runs (46), ERA (2.07) and batters struck out looking (100).

Sad part is I love fast pitch softball, mens or womens, and never get a chance to see their games.
