Needs for Next season 2022-23
We are young but pretty solid at 2,3 & 4. Big needs are at 1 & 5.
Our one commit, Jordan Crawford, is a 1. He is a scorer who can push the ball up
the court and either take it to the hole or step back for a 3. How he adjusts to D1
and Kelsey ball will be very important. Need a 1 or 5 from the transfer portal/JUCO or D2/D3.
The transfer portal is starting to fill up now that the season is over for most.
Does anyone know if players from the transfer portal can play immediately or if that was just
a COVID exemption?

My understanding is that it is a one time no penalty transfer rule. This is irrespective of COVID

Not saying Tucker is not tx but that has been up there since he entered the portal last season. Can not find his name in the existing tx portal. Hope Bolon is getting med rs and coming back.

I am sure Tucker is probably trying to replicate what Jasper did at Auburn but It's a double edge sword!
He is the last of Grant's recruit's.

Probably a good move for the Russian kid. Didn't see a spot for him in the rotation based upon what we saw last year. He should be able to find a better fit elsewhere.

Per Twitter, 2022 Spencer Legg 6'7" wing has committed to College of Charleston. He's from Woodberry Forrest, VA and played a post-graduate year at IMG Academy.

Kind of a redundant position. Hope that doesn't mean we are losing somebody

Larson looks to be a reliable point guard with good assist numbers and low turnovers. Also looks to be an efficient 3 point shooter. Appears to be a solid pickup.

We just signed 6-8 PF/C Ira Lee from GW(though he never played a game there). Played for 4 years at Arizona. Similar body to Farrar. Kind of a hustle guy.

Re: Needs for Next season 2022-23
Lee looks like a solid big man especially in the CAA. At Arizona in his last season, he averaged 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. Those numbers should improve against CAA competition.

Should be pointed out that the only players we've officially signed at Larson (Wofford), Crawford (freshman - North Mack) and Robinson (West Liberty). Lee committed per his Instagram account, but has not been officially signed by CofC.

Not sure where you pulled these numbers from, but Lee averaged 3 points and 3 rebounds in 10 minutes per game his senior year at Arizona.Lee looks like a solid big man especially in the CAA.
