Why do they think they can get away with anything like this? Because they're arrogant and obnoxious. With their "success" in little league football they think everyone will overlook their transgressions that bring more shame on our city and state. They don't believe they'll reap what they sow. National news again. We've had more than our share.
The sad part is the poor freshman are suspended while the upperclassmen who forced them to do it haven't been touched yet. Hopefully someone will call them up on their duty, honor and respect theme. In this town, we're only a bunch of happy drunks, but we seem to stay out of this kind of stupid self-inflected hubris these "future leaders" seem to excel at.
Maybe they need to teach more liberal arts, with kinder, gentler studies. Read some P. G. Wodehouse, please. Learn a romance language and its literature. Think about the consequences of your behavior.
