Tale of two halves

Post by GACoug »

The first half (and 8 minutes of the second half) was aweful, no good inside defense and too many TOs. The last part of the second half they turned it completely around. FU couldn't get a good shot off (inside or on the perimeter) for what seemed like 10 minutes. That coupled with them taking it inside on every play resulted in a 17-0 run that was capped by a 3 to make it 20-0.

I like what I saw in the second half. Way to go Cougs! :drink:

Furman led 44-37 @ the 12:59 Mark of 2nd half and went 9:09 without A POINT... the Cougs went on a 21-0 run that eventually ended up 30-9 over the last 12:59 for a 67-53 win.

Furman really had it going in the 1st half. But I thought that we came out in the 2nd half and turned up the defensive intensity. I think that Jeff Horowitz played his best game ever tonight. Stanley seems to be doing better from the wrist injury. Our guard play was very good tonight.
Josh really hasn't got a clue.

It was actually a 22 point run and only one 3 pointer in that whole run. Seems like they will realize someday. In fact the last 36 points for the Cougars only 2 3,s:)
