Not many hits but timely hitting. 3 pitchers combined for 12 k,s and allowed 3 earned runs

The freshman starter had excellent statistics. He though 80% strikes indicating good control. In fact, the pitching staff numbers were stout with 1 walk and 18 strikeouts. Could someone tell me how he pitched? Hard thrower? Control pitcher with good off-speed stuff? I am curious and hope this is a foreshadowing of the new pitchers. Does anyone know what happy to Frishmuth? Thanks!

Heard he hits 95 on fast ball
