Is coming back? Newest roster on CofC sports shows 9 players including our seniors. The portal players are not included. The seniors are all eligible to come back. Does anyone know for sure what their intentions are? Just my opinion it would make sense for them to come back and have a free year working on a Master's.

PS: I know one of our signed recruits is not coming. Have any of the others asked for release?

Swamp I really dont think it makes business sense for the seniors to return if there intent is to play pro basketball. Even if that is Euro/Australia.

I would expect that Kelsey is putting the full court charm offensive to bring Tucker back in. A guard oriented Charleston team(that only has two guards on the roster) still makes the most sense for him.

Though it went out that Michael Dudley II asked to be released, I wonder if he returns. Verbal Commits still has him with an LOI. I know it can be wrong, but it was much clearer with the others. Hofstra was one of his offers and they are going through a coaching change as well.

Matrojan the Ave overseas basketball salary is 35000. How many of these 4 are good enough to get above ave. Maybe Willis. I think getting a Master's is worth more than that. Just my opinion. Everyone is not a just missed the NBA like Goudelock

To me it makes plenty of sense to come back for a bonus year. With lockdowns and travel restrictions worldwide still in place, it’s not likely a player could enter these European countries. And who knows what type of foreign scouting could be done.
Right now, I see none of our graduating seniors good enough to play European ball so to me, it’s a no brained to come back and have a full experience.

The Euro league the high paying league overseas and The rest are like minor leagues for them. I see none of our seniors good enough to play in the Euro league.

So Trae Hannibal asked to transfer from USC.
Initially an Earl recruit, but CofC was a finalist.
Wonder if Pat Kelsey makes a move, though likely he will just end up with Earl at BC.

Also terrific news about Willis. We need some stability in the backcourt next year regardless what Tucker decides.

I heard at the time that Hannibal was very close to committing to CofC until Frank Martin swooped in and made an offer at the last minute. Hopefully he still wants to stay in state.

Jalyn McCreary transferring from Carolina as well. Carolina down 2 of the few good players they had.

Winthrop guard charles Falden transferring. This makes 3 of top 5 scorers from last year transferring

Signing day is April 14. I suspect we'll see our new team for next year take shape over the next couple of weeks. No shortage of good players in the transfer portal this year.

I don't believe that is an accurate representation of the makeup of our team for next year, just the current makeup. I suspect there will be further changes.

Saw on Twitter that a former Radford G, Fah’Mir Ali, is transferring to CofC. He averaged 10 PPG, about 3 rebounds and 4 assists a game as a freshman there.

He started 21 of the 24 he played, including 2 games over 20 (one of them against Winthrop).
