Hofstra is a match-up problem and especially Pemberton kills us. We don't have any combination that can guard both JWF and Eli. With those two guys and us switching on screens, a bad match-up presents itself early in the shot clock. Their drives either end in lay-ups or open 3s. Gotta say, i'm impressed with that team.

Big difference in this game, from my perspective, is they have secondary guys who can really shoot the 3. When they drove and kicked, the ball went in. When we did it we missed... often badly.

On the positive side, they only really play 7 guys and legs get tired playing 3 games in 3 nights.

Glad that Riller put on a show in front of the NBA scouts - i was a little worried for him after the bad turnover on his first touch and some nerves early, but he deserves a shot and i think multiple teams would invest a 2nd round pick in him.

Hopefully in 2020, after his spectacular senior year here!

5th straight game with a technical or a flagrant. Let’s make it 6 in a row Saturday!

No flagrant or technical foul listed in box score. Quite sure McManus called for intentional foul as he grabbed the back of Taylors jersey as Taylor was sprinting by him.

Last couple of minutes McManus was lying on his back after taking a charge...but, no! They called blocking on him.

He wasn’t set. It was the right call.

Replay showed he didn’t have his right foot set and was leaning into the Hofstra player, bang bang play that just as easily could have gone our way

I don’t think flagrants show in a box score line item except as apt. Brantley’s from Saturday doesn’t show either.
Either way that’s 5 games in a row.

I said early in the season that I’d be shocked if hofstra lost 5 games all year. That is Mihlaic’s team of a century and with the right match ups, can win a game in the tourney, maybe 2.
