The rest of the CAA was in action tonight. Some highlights:
- Hofstra absolutely destroyed Delaware, 91-46. UD had 18 points at the half.
- NU pulled away from Drexel, 93-83. Pusica, Roland and Green combined for 71.
- W&M held on at home, 79-74. JMU was up 12 in the first and was shooting above 50% from the field and from three before going ice cold down the stretch.
- Towson was the only road team to win tonight, defeating Elon 77-60

3 games in 6 days happens once a year. I’m glad it’s happening now to get it out of the way. I just wished it would have been different opponents. I think we are going to take our licks in the first few weeks of January. Do we finally get our first ever win at Towson? Do we take care of JMU at their place, where they always play us tough? And you know UNCW will always give us a handful at their place. If we come out of this 3-0, I like our chances at having 4 losses in conference on the season. With Vasa back at NE and Hofstra just lighting it up, I expect those two to be losses on the road. We never win at W&M so that is our 3rd. I do expect us to stub our toe this weekend somewhere. Just not sure where. I’m gonna take the L at Towson again since we don’t match up well with their thug like play.

Have watched college basketball too many years for a loss to be a huge surprise.

5 of our first 7 games on the road including Hofstra and NU. It’s going to be a tough stretch. Next Saturday should be interesting, we’ll be finishing a 3 game road swing and Hofstra will be hosting NU.

NU lost to Del in 2 overtimes. Big upset but exactly why no game is a guaranteed win. This was at NU

Never too early to start tracking losses by NU, Hofstra and W&M. Northeastern losing a home game with everyone healthy could bite them down the road.

This weekend may start to break apart the top from the rest. A bunch of good games.

I do not see us challenging your guys in their conference opener. But that is also a step closer to getting the difficult part of our schedule over with. After this weekend Drexel is done with @NU, @HU, @CofC and @UNCW. Steal one of the games this weekend for Drexel, and they are sitting in a decent place at 2-4, drop both, as expected, and 1-5 is ugly but could still be in for a mid pack finish, which many DU fans expect.

I see Drexel no worse than 8th. Can not see them much higher than that.

Pathetic attendance. Not one game tonight had 2000 fans

Our game tonight barely had over 1,000. 1,074. And it was Northeastern’s “white out.” Our student section seats 1,000 folks.

And there was another decent CofC turnout. NU’s average hockey attendance so far this year is 2,496. Basketball is... 1,160.

They drew 845 and 760 for the Drexel and Delaware home games. Only game that drew anywhere decent so far was St. Bonaventure at 2,348.

Hofstra at NU attendance yesterday 1209. Even Elon drew more fans yesterday. Can you imagine the attendance for them playing each other away from one of their home arenas.

NU traveled pretty good here for the CAA tournament last year.

And there was a decent amount of Hofstra fans. This was a “big game” for Northeastern.

NU has a core of 700-800 fans who even go in Boston. Then a couple hundred students. I was impressed that 75 or so of them come last year.

Hofstra will probably have a few more than that this year if they finish 1st.

UNCW fans were complaining on their board last night they had 400 empty seats for homecoming and the game didn’t sell out.

Just tells you how different things are at UNCW, CofC and to an extent W&M.

UNCW normally leads CAA in home attendance and Wm and Mary second with us 3rd. This year we are leading at least at this point

UNCW beat Hofstra 87-79. Hofstra only shot 40% . No way they will shoot good third day of tourney as many minutes as their starters play every game.

JWF is basically Andrew Goudelock from 2011. That’s one of his closest KenPom comparisons. All 5 starters tonight played 33 or more minutes. Ray played 8 minutes, Dwyer 7 minutes. Those were the only two subs. Basically only a 7 man rotation every game. Get to 8 if you add Trueheart.
