Based on returning players and not knowing how the new players will do looks good to me until proven otherwise.

I think McManus is the odd man out. Needs to make a
a big leap on the O/D side. More of 4 than a 3!

at the 3 position - could be beat out by McCluney & Richard
Those two guys are fast and very O/D minded.

at the 4 position - Brantley! From what I hear Miller is very
versatile and has a very good inside/outside game. He also will
cover Harris!. Also we have Osi & Samba!

I agree with nvrgivup_gocougs. The bigger question mark to me is the bench, where Osi and Samba are our most experienced players (by minutes played for CofC). I'd guess Jasper and Galloway have to get time, followed by either Smart or Ndiaye. Miller probably gets time once he's eligible. I don't see any of the true freshmen getting minutes, just based on Grant's tendencies the past two years.

Starting Five:
PG-Pointer
SG-Riller
SF-Unknown-hopefully McCluney or Richard
PF-Brantley
C-Harris

The reason I put unknown for SF is the fact that McManus still hasn't proven himself. He seems far better suited at the PF position due to his defensive liabilities and deficient ball handling abilities. Nothing against the kid, but he was a liability in that Auburn game.

As far as the bench, I have heard great things about Jasper. Doesn't hurt he has a year of prep school experience and a year with the team last year. Miller will play once he is eligible and I think he will be a solid backup to Harris. Would be nice if the PF we signed whose name escapes me can play as well.

I agree with what most people are saying starter wise but I think that the 3 will be played by committee depending on matchups. Some combination of McManus, McCluney and Richard.

At least 2 newcomers (including Zep) are going to need to play a ton of minutes to make up for the 70 lost with Cam and Joe. Will be interesting to see who steps up.

Miller back-up at 3, 4, or 5?
