Trey McGowens becomes the first building block for Milan Brown, Jeff Capel and Pitt. We offered him back in 2016 or 2017. I think he even attended a couple camps at CofC. Since then he's become top-100 in his class and a top point guard prospect. Wonder if Brown helped sign him.

I think that just shows Earl and his staff have an eye for talent. Vince Cole (remember him?) is off to Texas Tech. We're still on the list for a couple big-time prospects. Hopefully with the NCAA Tournament appearance, we start hanging onto these guys even after bigger schools come calling.

Looks like Earl is making his move on a cluster of guards from Texas.

2019 PG Trae Hannibal committed to USC. Tough break as we've been on him for years.

Lots of 2019 offers put out in recent weeks. Seems like a new point guard is the focus. Here's what Verbal Commits is reporting over the past few days:

- Kobe Langley (3-star PG, High Point, NC)
- Jacques Glover (2-star PG, Knoxville, TN)
- Hunter Cattoor (2-star PG, Orlando, FL)
- Julius Marble (2-star PF, Keller, TX)
- Issac McBride (2-star PG, Little Rock, AR)

Great job by the coaching staff to identify him early and hold off Clemson, Northwestern, Auburn, Georgia and Virginia Tech. He's listed as a 4-star, top 150 prospect on Rivals.

D'Angelo Epps, a 6'5 wing out of Charlotte, committed today. I believe the final two schools were us and Murray State. He also had offers from Coastal, Kent State, Western Carolina and Winthrop, among others.

Looks very athletic (if a bit raw) with a legit chiseled 6’5 -6’6 frame. Seems to have all the potential of developing into a very versatile player. Big time upside. Another nice get for the cougs!

Looks like Cam Johnson when he came out of high school.

Trevon Reddish, 6-4 PG out of McDonough, GA seems to be down to Temple and CofC with a commitment coming soon.

If he commits a) would be a good signing. b) wouldn't be the earliest we've completed a recruiting class since I can remember - though admittedly much younger than some on this site :D

with only 1 Scholarship to give I think our immediate need would be a 4/5.
Lose both Brantley & Harris next season!

After watching his videos, he seems like a great kid; glad he’s part our our program. Not to mention he projects to be a very good point guard. Well done by Coach Grant and staff - especially coach Q who has been huge in signing this class.

My guess is that Earl and co. are fine with letting the current crop of forwards work out a pecking order. Smart, Ndiaye, McManus, Miller, Moore and McCluney are all fighting for bench minutes. We'll see over the course of the season whether or not any of those guys can step in for Nick and Jarrell next season.
