GA State put up 103 on Wednesday with 5 players in double digits. I hope our defense comes out tenacious and cuts that in half.

I want to get to the game but its a busy weekend - i hope the crowd shows up. I thought there would have been more on Tuesday than there were.

They lost their top 4 scorers from last year. They are picked 12th of 12 teams in the Sunbelt pre-season poll. We play D and stay out of foul trouble we win!

Would not put a lot into that high scoring by Ga St. That was against one of those tiny Christian league schools El CID schedules a few of every year to put up gaudy scoring numbers early in the season
That being said I expect a tough game. This team is no slouch

Valid point... I’m just excited to see our defense give them a reality check.

+1 on the Cid truth.

Trying to catch bits and pieces on the radio. Is Zep out?

Dont know looks like rolled his ankle a bit.
Zep was walking around in the time outs so it doesnt look too bad.
Grant doesnt look too comfortable as the primary ballhandler.
I hope we have another gear here or we aren't gonna win.

Our second half showing needs to be as strong and confident as last time.

Looks like Zep tweaked his knee (that's what was taped) just a little. Was walking fine. Coach said after game that he could have played in 2nd half, but no need to risk further injury this early in season. Zep put on Twitter that he would be ready for next game.

84-80 win on our making free throws & Ga State missing 3 in a row.
We had too many turnovers & not enough rebounds but a win against a pretty good team.
Hope OSU doesn't watch video from this.

Great game overall. Showed a lot of grit coming back after falling behind.

My major complaint is we have some players that need to learn how to just shut up. Getting bad rep with the refs. Would hate for that to cost us a game down the line
Grant touched on that in presser

Nice to see that we could pull that out.
We have a long way to go...
Riller having to run point was really rough. Cant fault him too much but it shows how much we would miss Zep.
-Brevin was excellent. If we could get that from him week in and week out. It would be a game changes. It was more than the shooting, good decisions. Some timely rotations on D.
-I wonder how much more you will get from McManus and Miller. Seems like they are what they are.
-Do think Osi improves as he gets more time.
-Epps is a keeper.
-Jaylen Richard is growing and he will be a force as he matures.

I still have a tough time getting a sense of what we really are. If we are any good. On first glance it doesnt seem like we should be an odds on favorite in the CAA. Lots of young pieces though and we should improve.

That’s why Hofstra was favored in the league. Us, Northeastern and Hofstra are probably the 3 best teams in the league currently. And Towson has a win over A-10 George Washington.

Crowd got loud in the last 5 minutes. We needed that to pull us through today.

Can’t imagine that’s the pace Earl wants to play at this year, but a win is a win and there are lots of positives. Thought that was probably Osi’s best game of his career. I LOVE Delo Epps. When the older guys were losing their cool, it was Epps putting his arm around them and providing that calming influence. His game doesn’t show up in the stat sheet but I love how he plays.

But plenty of nagatives. Our vets need to keep their heads. 3 technical fouls by 2 seniors and a red shirt jr. Not good. Riller needs to tighten his handle, not sure if this was just an off game for him but he got stripped cleanly at least 3 times.

Generally speaking I agree with Matro. Not sure what to make of this team just yet. If all the pieces come together I think they can be really good. If they don’t, we could be middle of the pack.

What was the call on McManus late after a made basket. A fifth foul was announced and he kept playing. The next play was his big 3.
Soon after a fifth foul was announced for a Ga State player and he kept playing.

Bad announcing?

There was no call. I think announcers got confused

At one point there were 3 players on the floor showing 5 fouls on the score board. McMannis, Miller, and one of Ga St’s players. Frustrating the hell out of me that I couldn’t figure out what was going on. Anybody know?

Stat board operator error. Official scorer would have rang the buzzer and stopped game if anyone had five fouls
